WINNING STREAK CONTINUES FOR IMAGO
The regions own imago is celebrating again as it is named Top Academic Venue in a national survey that assesses UK conference venues on their telephone handling skills.
imago, the conference brand at Loughborough University, beat competition from Warwick Conferences, The University of Leicester and Conference Aston in Birmingham, to secure the top spot. The news comes just weeks after imago came top in a national mystery shopper poll, was awarded a Venuemasters award for Best Website and received two bronze awards at the MIMA (Meeting Industry Marketing Awards). Emma Boynton is Head of Sales for imago. "We are delighted with this result; it is fantastic news for imago. We pride ourselves on customer focus, and these awards are proof that what we are doing is working." The latest survey took place over the course of three months. Research consultants, BDRC, carried out a programme of calls to 16 leading conference venues in the UK. Venues were presented with varying sales scenarios, and were marked on a range of criterion from manner and approach of the staff to any follow up action taken. Emma said: "A great deal of focus at imago is placed on our sales team, and how they handle telephone enquiries, because after all, they are the first point of contact for potential clients. How this call is handled may affect whether or not a booking is made, so it is in our interest to make sure that staff are 100% customer focused." imago scored a total of 74.7 points out of a possible 100. The average score across all the venues was 53.4. imago scored particularly well on the section for manner and approach of staff, service delivery and follow up.
