Loughborough Hotel builds on its three star status
The Link hotel in Loughborough is celebrating after achieving three stars from VisitBritain
Not only is this the second time that the quality budget hotel has gained the star rating since being acquired by imago in 2010, but it was also awarded a Silver accreditation, making it the only three star hotel in the region to hold this recognition of “exceptional quality in all areas”.
The Link has seen a huge turnaround since being reopened by imago, who refurbished the whole building to create 94 stylish bedrooms in addition to a restaurant serving high quality food.
As a further indication of The Link’s constantly high standards, the team has also recently been honoured with a Trip Advisor ‘Certificate of Excellence 2012’ and a Breakfast Award from VisitBritain. This standard recognises venues which offer guests a high quality and wide choice of breakfast options, supported by excellent service.
Keith Barber, Operations Manager at The Link, said: “We’re over the moon to have achieved a three star accreditation from VisitBritain for the second year in a row. Retaining the three stars, as well as being awarded a Trip Advisor ‘Certificate of Excellence’, recognises the hard work of our staff, the quality of the facilities and the overall high standards we consistently strive for.”
“2012 has been a fantastic year and this is really the icing on the cake – we supported Loughborough University as part of the Team GB official preparation camp and even welcomed David Cameron in the run up to the Games.”
The Link is part of imago’s portfolios of venues which also includes four star hotel and conference centre Burleigh Court, conference and exhibition centre Holywell Park, plus the extensive conference and sports facilities at Loughborough University. The Link boasts excellent transport links, located on the main dual carriageway into Loughborough from junction 23 of the M1 motorway, with an intercity rail link direct to London and the international East Midlands Airport close by.
