imago to extend new services launch and new packages at Academic
imago, the award-winning conference brand at Loughborough University, will continue to unveil its extended range of services at this year's Academic Venue show.
The venue has been particularly proactive over the last six months, reviewing its customer groups to ensure that services and offers are packaged in line with the shifting customer needs that have emerged through the recession. The latest customer group to be addressed is the Group Travel sector, which has been identified as an expanding market for Loughborough campus, not least because of the extent and the range of accommodation on offer. Emma Boynton, Head of Sales & Marketing at imago, talks about how the new packages have been constructed: "Our research shows that one size does not fit all and that all too often it is assumed that group travel clients are wholly influenced by price as opposed to a combination of package, choice and value." The new packages include Short Break Campus Budget Accommodation: a choice of bed and breakfast, room only and self catered accommodation on Loughborough University campus during vacation periods; Self-Catered Holiday Apartments on Campus; available for a 7-day letting period during the summer vacation period, the apartments sleep up to 6 people, with 3 bedrooms, communal lounge and kitchen area equipped with TV, sofa, cooker, fridge and freezer units. Bed & Breakfast or Room Only Budget Stay Accommodation: a range of great value standard and ensuite study rooms on campus for individuals and small groups during the spring and summer vacation periods; Hotel Accommodation: imago's purpose-built hotel at Burleigh Court, includes 40 high quality budget accommodation rooms, 185 four-star hotel standard bedrooms, restaurant, bar and lounge facilities and a luxurious on-site leisure and spa complex. Budget and four-star bed and breakfast or room only accommodation is available all year round with prices starting from £25.00 per head. The team at imago is particularly proficient at dealing with bespoke needs and all accommodation requirements can be packaged into tailor-made spa breaks and weekend short break accommodation. imago will also be taking the opportunity to introduce its new Event Management Service to Academic Venue Show visitors. Emma continues: "Reaction to the new Event Management Service has been extremely good. We have obviously struck a chord with clients and organisations that operate within the academic venue arena that have a need to outsource the function in order to deliver events that are presented at a high level of quality and value." imago can also be seen as the best of the academic best. imago at Burleigh Court was awarded top place in last year's Venuemasters Mystery Buyer survey, beating competition from 85 other academic venues in the UK. Venuemasters also awarded imago at Burleigh Court Gold for 'Best Website' in 2008. The venue has picked up no less than 3 awards in the first 3 months of 2009 alone including Best Disabled Service and Best Specialist Conference Centre (with more to come it would appear).
