Leading event, conference and meetings provider imago, has developed a unique partnership with Leicester-based Curve theatre to strengthen relationships with new and existing booking agents whilst promoting the benefits of the region as a whole.
After an initial discussion at a Leicestershire Sales Manager meeting, the imago and Curve team recognised a unique opportunity to work together and demonstrate what the region has to offer. A joint event was run in March for eight booking agents and their guests, with a reception held at imago’s Burleigh Court, followed by a show at Curve. The guests stayed the night at Burleigh Court, enjoying midnight snacks when returning from the theatre with use of the spa, a tour of each venue and lunch provided the next day.
Claire Dorman-Matthews, Business Development Manager at imago, said: “The event was a fantastic success. Maintaining relationships with key agency contacts is a vital part of my role, but it is often difficult to offer an experience that is both valuable and enjoyable.
“Our partnership with Curve provides the perfect solution whilst jointly promoting the strengths of Leicestershire as a business and leisure destination – something we have been tasked with communicating this year as we work to reach international audiences, building on the fantastic credentials gained during the London 2012 Olympics.”

Leicestershire has so much to offer and venues need to work together to promote these strengths– this event provided the perfect example of how this approach can bring benefits for both parties.”
