GOLD! for imago

imago has picked up the GOLD award for Business Tourism at the East Midlands final of the Enjoy England Excellence Awards.

The annual Enjoy England Excellence Awards recognise outstanding tourism organisations for their commitment to offering customers a high quality experience. The Meet England Business Tourism Award is the only category out of 16 that celebrates the role that business tourism plays in this sector, both regionally and nationally. As a regional winner, imago will go forward to the national awards, where they will battle it out against other winners from across England. Kay England, Chief Executive said: "This is the first time that we have entered these awards, so for us the win is an absolute delight. As a business tourism provider imago does, without question, play a significant role in the economic well being of the surrounding area and the wider region. The 90,000 delegates that visit our venues during the course of a year undoubtedly have an impact, as does the £200,000 we spend annually with local food providers alone and the 130 jobs we provide to local employees. If this award can help fly the flag for a better understanding of the far reaching benefits of business tourism I will be doubly delighted." imago is no stranger to the awards podium achieving in the last two years over a dozen awards for its service, its delivery and its marketing, including the Visit Britain National Accessibility Scheme Mobility 3, Food for the Brain Accreditation, MIMA Bronze Best Brochure and Best website, CCE Chef's Challenge - Best Wine Menu, Venuemasters Mystery Buyer Award, Venuemasters Marketing Awards - Best Website, and more recently MIMA Finalist PR Campaign, Venuemasters Highly recommended PR Activities, WOLCE Runner up Best Training Venue, along with a 4* accreditation awarded by the Quality in Tourism Board. The East Midlands Tourism Enjoy England Excellence Awards celebrate the best of English Tourism. The awards are known throughout the industry as the Oscars' of Tourism. They promote healthy industry competition and high standards, helping to ensure England's place as a world-class destination.
