Skin Scanner

New to Burleigh Springs is the skin scanner from Skin Logic.

A breakthrough in skin analysis. By using long-wave ultraviolet light, problem areas on the skin can be seen as different colours.

This allows both the client and therapist to recognize and diagnose skin problems together. With this visual representation of where the problem areas may occur, the therapist can easily explain using a face map, the benefits of correct skin treatment and care.

The scanner has been used in the medical profession for years as an aid in the diagnosis of skin disorders and is totally safe for the skin and eyes.

Some of the conditions that the skin scanner can highlight are as follows:
Pigmentation; Sun Damage; Dehydration; Comedones / Congestion; Oily skin and Dead skin.

Once the therapist has conducted the skin scan it can then be applied to a dermalogica face map so the client has a picture of the current health of their skin.

Face mapping is a revolutionary approach to skin analysis developed by the International Dermal Institute exclusively for dermalogica.

Our professional skin therapists use the technique to analyze every aspect of the skin, dramatically enhancing the effectiveness of face treatments and home care advice. Face mapping divides the face into 14 zones, each with its own unique set of problems or needs.

A face map is carried out before every facial here at Burleigh Springs, by one of our highly qualified therapists.

If you would like a skin scan before a facial there is a nominal charge of £5.00 which is redeemable against any purchase of a dermalogica product. Alternatively, if you are interested in just having a skin scan and face map done, the cost is £15.00, which again is redeemable against a purchase of two or more dermalogica products.
